Montessori Center of Our Lady has provided an enriching, nurturing and developmentally appropriate Preschool and Kindergarten Program to children 3 -6 years of age for over 35 years.
Following the example of “caring for children” as initiated by the foundress of the Felician Franciscan Sisters, Blessed Mary Angela, Montessori Center of Our Lady seeks to provide the foundation for early learning and to serve the needs of working parents and families. Our staff of the Montessori live by the core values on a daily basis: Respect for Human Dignity, Compassion, Transformation, Solidarity with the Poor, and Justice & Peace.
Our staff is educationally trained and experienced in the Montessori pedagogy. Our goal is to nurture and help your child reach their fullest potential by enhancing their physical, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and social skills.
The Montessori curriculum of the Center encourages your child to remain actively involved in the learning process, to experience a variety of activities appropriate to each age and stage of development, and to pursue individual interests in the context of life in the community and the world. Through these experiences, your child enhances their language, vocabulary and literacy skills, understanding of concepts about the physical world, social skills, and problem solving strategies, motor coordination, and self-confidence.
They should have understanding for the children, watching over them with care… – Blessed Mary Angela
The Felician Sisters Child Care Centers, Inc. continues the ministry of Blessed Mary Angela, foundress of the Felician Franciscan Sisters, by supporting families in the fundamental task of educating and caring for their children on all levels of development.
Through our Catholic identity and Felician Core Values, we will be a stabilizing influence for families, providing the foundation by which all children reach their fullest potential.
